Language as a tool for advertising.
When people watch T.V. or pass in their cars by certain road advertisements or boards, they embrace special titles that tame their inner needs of shopping. A major part of an advertisement is spent on coming up with a "Catchy Title" for their boards. "Your change can make a change" is a statement used to urge people to donate. Another example would involve the following statement: "The job of today starts tomorrow" . The previous phrases show how much people are manipulative when using the English language. Marketing and advertising special products tend to move towards using "Manipulated language forms". We can really see that popular faces are put on large boards yet not as intensive as before. Language whether natural or the so called "chat" language is dominating the market of items and products. I hope that we can revive our languages even if we started by using them as ways for selling and marketing. Our language is a major part of our national identity as active members functioning in the society. Keep up the good work my LANGUAGE!

ReplyDeleteTo add or to stress on what you mentioned, in recent years, English is becoming more and more popular in the world. It attracts people due to the interesting in its tune and structure. However, beside the tune and the structure, this language is learned and studied by a higher number of people with every passing day because of its two importance in this modern world: a mean to communicate and to create a greater opportunity for a job.
ReplyDeleteDear friend, a language is a means of communication by the use of sounds or conventional symbols. It is the code we all use to express ourselves and communicate to others. Now if we go back to English, English is the dominant business language it becomes a necessity for people to speak English if they are to enter a business. And one more thing to highlight is that the language an individual speaks and how they speak it informs their cultural affiliations, how others perceive and interact with them and vise versa.
ReplyDeleteEvery nation stands for it's language! But i doubt this for our Arab nation!! I agree with you girls that English is being a worldwide language and you can rarely find a person who does not talk or understand English. It's an easy language to talkand learn. But goingto our Arabic language it's being ignored by time. Even we the arabs run to teach our children various languages and forget all about our language. Hope that upcoming generations will show more care and interest in their language.
