Smart Phones!

I really miss sitting around the table or in a certain place without clicking and pecking in our "SMART" phones. It is impossible to see people gathering without chatting. But what kind of chatting? They keep their heads down and their eyes on a glowing screen for sometimes silly reasons. These advances seem to be so tempting but it doesn't mean that we should give up social life for the sake of social media. I feel sorry sometimes when I see people lacking the social skills to a degree that they can only start a conversation through "Whats-app" or any other social media. When using technology and smart phones for beneficial reasons, no harm can happen. Yet, people of different age levels are using this technological revolution as an escape from real life. I miss seeing a child playing in the mud instead of smashing a candy in " Candy Crush".
Are smart phones making us smarter or are we losing part of our intelligence? That part that has to do with thinking as everything is coming in an easy way through these "Smart phones".

  1. this is a very interesting topic to discuss! Smart Phones are losing their core value because of our irresponsible and heedless behaviors. Instead of using these technological advancement to improve our selves in all aspects, we are using them as a source of dumbing ourselves! because we gave our smart phones the task of thinking, of expressing, of calculating, of.... for us!!!

  2. Smart Phones, tabs, Ipads...and much more technological devices are ruining our lives in an indirect way. Now adays, people can't ever imagine their lives without this technology thing that is controlling them fully. To be on fashion you should hold the latest phone release! That's becoming ridiculous! People outside are discovering the world, writing books, developing countries and we are still thinking of smart phones!!

  3. Although there are many advantages to have a smart-phone but on the other hand I think there are some disadvantages. One of the main concerns that people have over smartphones is that they are expensive to own. If smartphones break, then it is costly and this is very easy to do because most of these phones are very fragile and have glass screens, so precautions must be taken to protect them. When comparing smartphones to PCs, smartphones have very limited memory storage space and they are not efficient to use for typing long reports on the small keyboards. Also, older people might not understand the new technology and the small screens can be difficult to use for email and other advanced functions for people with bad eyesight.
